Course Objectives:
In this course, there will be a particular focus on good exam technique and completing questions in timed conditions. Drawing on a bank of past papers from a range of exam boards ( AQA, Edexcel and OCR ), the first half of the course will help students structure concise and effective answers to comprehension questions on non-fiction and fiction texts. The second part of the course will focus on transactional and imaginative writing . Students will be given access to past papers from a range of exam boards. Questions taken from these papers will also be set for homework.

Session 6: Planning, structuring, writing and checking full-length pieces
